Original merchant's document cabinet (chôba’dansu) from Japan, dating to the late 19th century (Early Meiji), with keyaki burlwood front and hinoki frame, iron hardware, nine drawers plus sliding doors and a hinged door with a phoenix motif, dimensions 90.5 × 87.7 × 40.2 cm, in very good restored condition, no keys included, certificate of authenticity to be provided upon shipping.
